§ 42-92. Maximum sound levels.

  • (a)

    Noise levels at the boundary of any zoning district with a higher ambient shall not increase the lower adjacent ambient noise level by more than ten dB(A). The noise emanating from any property use shall not increase the ambient noise levels set forth in section 42-87 for the district in which such property is located; provided the standard set forth in this sentence shall be applied at the boundaries of the lot on which any such activities take place. It shall be unlawful for any person who owns, occupies or controls any property to use, or permit such property to be used, in a manner which would increase the ambient above the levels set forth in this section.

    (b)

    The maximum sound pressure levels established in this section shall not apply to construction sites, which shall be regulated by section 42-89.
